The 8th Diplomatic New Year Charity Fair

On December 16, the Consulate General of Armenia in Odessa participated in the annual Diplomatic New Year Charity Fair. The mayor of Odessa, G. Trukhanov, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, regional and other state bodies and non-governmental organisations attended the opening ceremony.

Armenian traditional dishes, sweets, brandy, national souvenirs, jewellery and works of Armenian painters were presented at the Armenian pavilion of the fair.

At the event the attendees had the opportunity to listen to the performances of the "Araks" vocal group of the Armenian community of Odessa and the students of the "St. Gregory the Illuminator Grandchildren" literary-ethnographic studio.

The Women's Committee and the Union of Young Mothers of the Armenian Community of Odessa took active part in the organisational activities of the 8th Diplomatic New Year Charity Fair.

The proceeds from sales were donated to Odessa Maternity Hospital No. 5.
